Catechists prepare children who are not currently attending a Catholic primary school in year three and above for First Holy Communion. 

Preparation is a commitment from both children and parents to attend weekly sessions from October to May (not including school holidays). Children are led through preparations for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion through the 'I Belong' programme.
